She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Craig Merritt and Gladys H. Taylor Merritt; and her brothers, Danny Roach and Terry Roach. She is survived by: her husband James Wilburn Pitts; her sons, Danny Pitts (Krystal) of Greenville, Teddy Pitts (Candy) of Easley and James Craig Pitts of Easley; and her siblings, Judy Williams (Scott) of Easley and William Paul Roach, Jr. (Mary) of Easley. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Peggy's honor may be made to Nine Forks Baptist Church Building Fund, 3207 Earls Bridge Rd, Easley, SC 29640.
