It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Norma Jean Vondra (Easley, South Carolina), born in Volga, Iowa, who passed away on November 5, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Zenda and Grace Lowe Potter; her husband Don Vondra; her son Bernie Vondra (Kathy); her children-in-law, Debbie Vondra and Michael Smith; and her brothers, Danny Potter (Lois) and Richard Potter (Joyce).
She is survived by: her children, Lester Vondra (Julie), Barbara Ballard (Bill), Donna Vondra, Daryl Vondra, Diane "Annie" Toro (Sal), Kathy Smith (Donnie), Lon Vondra (Nancy), Pat Vondra (Bev) and Jeanne Byers (Dale). She is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Brushy Creek Baptist Church (100 Clay St, Easley, SC 29642). A committal service was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Andrews Cemetery.
