It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Muriel Hester of Easley, South Carolina, born in Pickens, South Carolina, who passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James "J. D."; her parents, John Wesley and Myrtie Cantrell Stokes; and her brother-in-law Jack Houston. She is survived by: her sons, Mitch Hester (Donna) and Scott Hester (Helen); her daughter-in-law Dolly Hester; her grandchildren, Jennifer H. Going (Curtis), Mitchell Hester, Jr., Daniel Hester and Sarah Hester; her great grandchildren, Skylar Hester, Jameson Going, Evan Going and Oliver Nelms; and her siblings, J. W. "Jay" Stokes (Shirley), Geraline Houston and Patricia Booty (Jean).
