He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred McAbee and Corine Reid McAbee; his wife Carolyn Hunnicutt; his brothers, Fred McAbee, Jr. and Dennis McAbee; and his son-in-law Curtis Mitchell Rogers.
He is survived by: his children, Pete McAbee, Jr. (Bebe) and Denise Rogers; his granddaughter Meghann Reeves (Troy); and his great grandchildren, Ansley, Isaac, Wrynn and Judson.
