It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Hester of Easley, South Carolina, born in Pickens, South Carolina, who passed away on January 20, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Theodore and Ethel Owens Hester; and his sister Mary Ellen Guthrie. He is survived by: his wife Muriel Stokes Hester; his sons, Mitch Hester (Donna) and Scott Hester (Helen); his daughter-in-law Dolly Hester; his grandchildren, Jennifer H. Going (Curtis), Mitchell Hester, Jr., Daniel Hester and Sarah Hester; his great grandchildren, Skylar Hester, Jameson Going, Evan Going and Oliver Nelms; and his siblings, Guy Hester (Mickey), Bruce Hester, Billy Hester, Ruby Spearman (John) and Evelyn Aiken (Marion).
