It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Arthur Reed of Easley, South Carolina, born in Lyman, South Carolina, who passed away on April 13, 2022, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Theresa Robertson Reed of Easley, SC; his parents, Manville S. Reed and Willie Wade Tinsley Reed; his son William Clyde Reed; and his siblings, Harold Reed, Buddy Reed and Christine Dempsey.

He is survived by: his son James Richard Reed of Greenville; his grandchildren, Cynthia Sharpe (Hank), Corey Ehlenbach (Candice), Sam Reed, Max Reed and Harry Reed (Cassie); and his great grandchildren, Savannah Taylor Sharpe, Carleigh Ehlenbach, Caelan Ehlenbach and James Sharpe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
