He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Georgia Ooten Hopping; his parents, Lavon Lee Hopping and Dorothy Anderson Hopping; his daughter Sherry Cassels (Robert) of Anderson; his brother Richard Hopping (Pat) of Fullerton, CA; his grandchildren, Ashley Davis (Michael) of Easley, Javan Cassels (Michelle) of Easley and Dustin Cassels (Lauren) of Union; and his great grandchildren, Michael Davis of Easley, Breanna Davis of Easley, Cassie Davis of Easley and Sumpter Cassels of Easley.
