He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Elizabeth "Betty" Jenkinson Rushton; his son Douglas Edward "Doug" Rushton; and his siblings, Joyce R. Curry and James C. Rushton. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Harry Guilford "Gil" Rushton, Jr. (Denise) of McLean, VA and Janet Rushton "Jan" Overton (Benson) of Clemson; his grandchildren, Dr. Hilary Rushton, Callie Rushton, Douglas Rushton, Jr. and Manning Rushton; and his stepgrandchildren, Joe Conrad and Taylor Conrad.
