He was predeceased by: his parents, George McLaughlin and Frances McLaughlin (Krekeler); and his grandson Ian. He is survived by: his wife Laura; the mother of his children Georgia Ferguson; his children, Sean (Jayne) of Spokane, WA, Erin Roark (Richard) of Philadelphia, PA and Megan Beaubien (Louis) of Halifax, NS; and his grandchildren, Maggie, Josie, Evan, Lucy, Molly and Alec.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Covenant Presbyterian Church (4500 SC-86, Easley, SC 29642).
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to the Calvary Home for Children (110 Calvary Home Circle, Anderson, SC 29621) or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306).
