She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Brooks; her parents, Dillard Cook and Novella Simpson Cook; and her brother Jerry Lee Cook of Asheville. She is survived by: her children, Chad Brooks (Kandy), Christin Garrett (David) and Matthew Brooks (Kristy); her grandsons, Brennan Brooks and Jackson Garrett; and her brother Jim McDaniels of Glen Alpine.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Easley First Baptist Church for "Generations to Come".
