We are sad to announce that on August 21, 2019, at the age of 77, Gary Preston Allen (Easley, South Carolina), born in Spartanburg, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his fathers, Thomas Jefferson and Virgil Brookshire Allen; his sister Frieda Paulette Davidson; his stepbrother Charles Owens; and his stepmother Thelma Allen.
He is survived by: his daughter Shannon Allen Abercrombie (Shane) of Easley; his grandchildren, Austin Clayton Helms (Chandler) of Mt. Pleasant and Savannah Grace Abercrombie (Payton) of Piedmont; his great grandchildren, AnnaGray, Bristol and MarlerHayes; his sister Karion Gayle Holcombe of Greenville; and his stepbrothers, Robert Owens of Greenville, Jerry Owens of Greenville and Kenneth Owens of Greenville.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorials to be made to the Rock Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642, or to Open Arms Hospice, 1835 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
