He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd L. Merritt and Mary Elizabeth Carver Merritt. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn M. Merritt; and his children, Nannette M. Stuckey (Jim) of Easley, Cynthia M. Downie (Wes) of Woodstock, GA, John Floyd Merritt of Easley and Dr. Frank Marion Merritt, III (Jan) of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
