It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Harold Benton of Easley, South Carolina, who passed away on June 27, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Harold Benton and Eileen Jarvis Benton. He is survived by: his wife Cherie Marielena Girard Benton; his children, Timothy Edward Benton (Treesa) of Sanford, Charity Mechelle Benton Walker (Adam) of Winter Springs and Marielena Petruska (Brian) of Lyman; his grandchildren, Talon, Cheyenne, Logan, Angel and Samantha; and his sister Barbara Benton of Auburn.
Due to the COVID-19 crisis and in accordance with CDC guidelines, we are limiting the gathering to 50 persons or less in order to protect the health of the Benton family, our community, and our associates.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the McKissick Center at 349 Edgemont Ave, Liberty, South Carolina 29657.
