He was predeceased by: his spouse Jeneta Hughes; his parents, Eugene Hughes and Rose Marie McDaniel Hughes; his daughter Pamala "Pam" Denice Hughes; and his brothers, Mike and Danny Hughes.
He is survived by: his sons, Rickey Hughes (Carrie) and DJ Hughes (Jena); his granddaughters, Constance Kidd (Josh), Daniela Smith (Jake), Katie and Claire Hughes; his great grandchildren, Harlee Denice, Samuel Oliver and Jacklyn Annetta B.; his sister Patricia S. Smith; and his friend Libby Fling.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes - Northwest Chapel (6710 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611).
