He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Franklin Selby and Nellie Mosby Selby. He is survived by: his wife Iris Rivera Selby; his children, Darrell D. "Chip" Selby, Jr. (Brandy) of Palestine, IL and Christina Selby Sanchez of Greenville; his stepdaughter Sundi Fuller of Cherry Grove, SC; his grandchildren, Sgt. Alerick Sullivan, Trenton Sullivan, Zachary Sullivan, Zane Sullivan, Anthony Sanchez, Travis Selby, Meagan Ramsey, Brooklynn Selby, Blake Selby and Gracie Selby; and his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Dominic Sullivan, Natalie, Rhett, Tatum Ramsey and Anna Selby.
