He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnet Wade Derrick, Sr. and Ressie Mae Adams Derrick of Easley, S. C; and his siblings, Leon Derrick, Bonnie Holden, Elizabeth Turpin, Jane Crenshaw, G. W. Derrick, Jr. (Garnet Wade), Floyd, Margaret "Tootsie" Watson and Marion Derrick.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Black Derrick; his daughters, Debbie Lynn Hinkle (John) and Linda Diane Troxell (Tracy); his grandson Christopher Blake Troxell; and his brother Preston Derrick.

I have great memories of the Derricks including the 1959 Pontiac that Claude had and your Dad's dog that "smoked " cigarettes. I hope you are well.
