He was predeceased by: his wife Sarah Watkins of Easley; his father John L. Watkins; his son Ronald "Ronnie" Watkins; and his grandson Michael Watkins. He is survived by: his son Richard Watkins (Margo); and his grandchildren, Eric Watkins (Leslie), Kevin Watkins, Brian Watkins and Lori Kuipers. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
