He was predeceased by: his father Abner Oscar; and his daughter Diane Ramey. He is survived by: his wife Mae Browning Chastain of Easley; and his children, Linda Wade of Easley, Patricia LaChance (Jeffrey) of Orlando, Julie Hess of Easley and Mark Chastain (Nikki) of Piedmont. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
