He was predeceased by: his father Paul Warren Payne; and his brother Paul Jefferson Payne. He is survived by: his mother Martha Brown Payne; his children, Misty Hudson (J. T.), Matthew Payne (Kay) and Mason Payne; his grandchildren, Abby, Harrison and Andi Hudson; his sisters, Wendy Williams (Jamie) and Regina Jeffeaux (Scott); and his sister-in-law Pam Payne. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
