She was predeceased by: her siblings, John Ansel Knecht, Jr., Joan Gosnell and Carolyn Ohman. She is survived by: her husband Robert Ronald Massingill, Sr.; her children, Robert Ronald Massingill, Jr. (Wendy) of Easley and Tami N. Massingill of Easley; and her grandchildren, Spencer and Haley Massingill.

Memorials may be made in memory of Brenda to the North Georgia School of Gospel Music, 500 Washington Street, SE, Gainesville, GA 30501.
