Blassingame of Easley and Eric Blassingame of Piedmont; his siblings, Dorothy Simon (Willie) of Chicago, IL, Sylvia Jones of Greenville and Charles Blassingame of Columbus, OH; his niece Emily Scott of Greenville, SC; his mother-in-law Pauline Hallums of Detroit, MI; his siblings-in-law, Beverly Heath (Doc) of Detroit, MI, Hazel Coleman of Philadelphia, PA, Audrey Kimbrell (Cornell) of Albany, GA and Lavel Hallums (Debra) of Orlando, FL; his aunt Venice Jenkins of Chicago, IL; and his close friend Charles Hill of Charlotte, NC.
