He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Cecil, Viola Nelson and Alice Julian. He is survived by: his parents, Owen Scott Nelson, Sr. and Debra Louise Julian Nelson; his siblings, Scott Nelson, Jr., Abigail Nelson and Katherine Nelson; his grandfather Waymon Julian (Pat); and also, Howard, Teresa Nelson, Johnny and Firuza Julian.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Powdersville Road Church of God (2232 Powdersville Rd, Easley, SC 29642). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, January 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
