He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Elmo Black and Annie Jo Black; his sister Jean Black Bowen; and his daughter Michelle Black Callahan. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Baker Black; his children, Chris Black (Aimee) of Pelzer, Jennifer Black Lanford (Jonathan) of Lexington, SC and Greg Black (Michelle) of Easley; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Black, Taylor Black, Dale Black, Emily Kernells-Lanford, Caden Lanford, Aiden Black, Madison Black, Jackson Callahan and Kaleb Callahan; and also, Shelby Baker Chastain (Roy) and Ted Owens (Sandy). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
