He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Perry Mahaffey and Flora Painter Mahaffey; and his siblings, Lewis Mahaffey and Grace Walters. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Vaughn Mahaffey; his sons, Dale Mahaffey (Debbie) of Easley, Dan Mahaffey of Easley, Bo Mahaffey (April) of Easley and Scott Mahaffey of Easley; his siblings, James P. Mahaffey (Nora Dean) of Atlanta, GA and Norah Gunderson of Fountain Inn; and his grandchildren, Danielle Mahaffey Graham (Lucas), Alexis Mahaffey and A. J. Mahaffey. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and special sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
