With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alma Laura Gilbert Fortner (Easley, South Carolina), born in Pickens, South Carolina, who passed away on March 28, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jack Fortner; her former husband Grady L. Gilstrap; her son Joey Fortner; and her siblings, Bud, Roy Gilbert, Hazel Shirley, Helen Gilbert, Edith Durham and Vivian Seay.
She is survived by: her sons, Dale Gilstrap (Tammy) of Anderson and James Fortner of Liberty. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
