He was predeceased by: his sister Martha Grant. He is survived by: his son Tony Howard (Nancy) of Greer; his grandchildren, Harley and Jesse Howard; his great grandchild Nevaeh Howard; and his goddaughter Mandi Scheller (Wesley).
