He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sims and Dora Swanner Sims; and his grandson Mike Sims. He is survived by: his wife Audrey Juanita Sims; his children, Layne Sims (Sandra), Marc Sims, Kell Sims, Dallas Sims (Wanda), Kaye Gehr and Sharon Scruggs (Steve); and his grandchildren, Mitchell Sims, Vincent Zambito, Kelly Sims, Heather Jennings, Kennith Gehr, Shannon O'Brien, Leslie Sims, Michelle, Jarrod and Jeffrey. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
