It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Lee Mathis Sr. (Duncan, South Carolina), who passed away on August 23, 2019, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman Mathis and Joan Laster Plumley; his sons, Johnnie Lee Mathis, Jr. and Larry Mathis; and his brother Bruce Mathis.

He is survived by: his son Frankie Mathis; and his siblings, Mike Mathis, Karen and Pam Smithwick. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
