We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2021, at the age of 88, John David Nelson (Duncan, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Nelson and Exie Simmons Nelson; and his siblings, Howard Nelson, Hayward Nelson, Ed Nelson, Darius Nelson, Ella Ree Smith, Allie Pearl Boone and Lillie Merle Terry.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Delores Knighton Nelson; and his children, Lamar Nelson of Duncan, Stanley Nelson of Elberton, GA, Keith Nelson of Wellford and Rhonda Nelson Moore of Duncan. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
