He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Burnett and Beulah Kate Owens Burnett. He is survived by: his spouse MarcHellon Gilmer Burnett; his children, James "Jimmy" Burnett, Jr., Joe Burnett (Susan) and Renee Peace (Pete); his grandchildren, Corrie Peace, Leslie Roper (Derek), Joshua Burnett, Dusty Peace (Nikki) and Leigh Ann Wilkinson (Michael); his great grandchildren, Mikayla, Elizabeth, Will, Ryan, Breah, Eli, Eva, Olivia and Sienna; and his great great grandchildren, Katie, A. J. and Langston.
