He was predeceased by: his wife Betty R. Mayes; and his son Charles David. He is survived by: his children, Pamela Jean, Joyce Marie, Linda Beth and James Williams; his grandchildren, Joseph Scott, Tara Michelle and Marsha Nadine; and also Mary K. Smith.
