He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillie Mae and Howard Franklin McAbee, Sr.; his daughter Marcia Kirkland; and his brother James McAbee. He is survived by: his wife Nancy "Carolyn" Satterfield McAbee; his son Jerry Scott McAbee (Tasha); and his grandsons, Alex McAbee, Blake Born and Matthew Kirkland. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
