She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemual "Dude" and Cora Robinson Helms; her husband Emmitt Earl Smith; her children, Donnie Earl Smith, Ronnie Eugene Smith, David Glenn Smith, Brenda Kay Smith and Rita Faye Richard; and her siblings, Bobby Helms, Bill Helms, David Helms and Janie Helms.
She is survived by: her sister Betty Blackwell (Jesse). She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; fifty-four great grandchildren; and twenty great-great grandchildren.
