She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Bridwell and Minnie Fortenberry Bridwell; her husband Roy Thurmond Mize; and her siblings, Grace Johnson, Catheleen Rogers, Essie Mae Bridwell, Rachel Hammett and Bill Bridwell.
She is survived by: her children, Roy Mize (Wanda Mize), Shirley Wood (late Richard Wood) and Doris Constance (Tony Jackson); and her grandchildren, Jennifer, Helen, Tonya, Melissa and Keith. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
