It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Sue Hawkins (Duncan, South Carolina), who passed away on December 17, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Dexter and Nellie Green Wilson; her husband Gordon Harold Hawkins; her siblings-in-law, Harold Birch and Helen Lee Wofford Hawkins; and her siblings, Elena Ballenger (William), Elizabeth Ballenger (Wilbur), Margaret Patterson (Willard), I. L. Wilson, Bud Wilson (Katherine) and Walt Wilson (Joyce).
She is survived by: her daughters, Charlotte Groce (Todd) and Allison Raye Burger (Rodney); her grandchildren, Braeden Groce (Holly), Clayton Groce, Emily Brook Amos (Aaron), Elizabeth Suddeth (Waylon) and Jordan Burger; and her great grandchildren, Abby and Jaxon Groce.
