He is survived by: his parent Louise Thompson Abernathy; his children, Cathy Beggs, Tammy Cole, Cristy Sizemore, Chad Anderson, Kevin Anderson and Alex Blackwell; and his sister Corinne Cooley. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
