We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2018, at the age of 86, Alton Mark Parker Jr. (Duncan, South Carolina), born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Neal David Parker and Wayne Patrick Parker; his parents, Alton M. Parker Sr. and Verna Bollinger Parker; and his aunts and uncles, Ollie Parker Maher, Sadie Bollinger, Sara Bollinger Brocato, Eva Parker Miler, Gertrude Parker, Mable Breaux Bollinger, Carroll Bollinger, Norman Parker and Cyrus V. Brocato Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Alton Mark Parker III of Houston, Anne Parker Dours of Mandeville, Jeanne Parker Martin of Mandeville and Angelle Parker Wild of Hammond; his brother Richard J. Parker of Duncan, SC; his children-in-law, Debbie Parker and Paul Dours; his grandchildren, Michael Paul Dours, Emilie Anne Dours, Phoebe Rae Martin, Raleigh James Martin and Emmett Jonathan Wild; and his sisters-in-law, Judy Parker and Cathy Houghston Parker. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dr. Parker's wish was that in lieu of flowers a contribution be made to Jesuit High School's General Scholarship Fund in his name, and can be mailed to 4133 Banks Street, New Orleans LA 70119.
