She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Vassey and Mary Lue McCreight Smith; and her daughter Sandy Kay Jenkins. She is survived by: her son Mark Edward; her daughter-in-law Margie Erskine of York; her sister Vallarea McAbee of Raleigh; her grandchildren, David Jenkins (Amy) of Greer, Shawna Winter (Gregg) of Lake Wylie and Katelyn Erskine of Virginia Beach; and her great grandchildren, Titus Winter, Sloane Winter and Zachary Jenkins.
