We are sad to announce that on August 28, 2021, at the age of 91, Zelda Oates of Due West, South Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Zelda Oates to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband Henry C. 'Dusty Oates, Sr.; her parents, Samuel Chester Gambrell, Sr. and Mary Belle Hood Gambrell; her brothers, Hood Gambrell, Hugh M. Gambrell and Sam Gambrell; and her daughter-in-law Nancy Padgett Oates.

She is survived by: her sons, Henry Campbell 'Dusty Oates, Jr. (Nancy Scales Oates) of Clemson, Dr. Richard Hunter Oates (Katharine Kirkpatrick Oates) of Gainesville, GA and Samuel Thomas Oates of Greenville; her grandchildren, Caroline Oates, Amanda Oates Harper (Ryan), Campbell Oates (Christine), Hunter Oates (Sharon), Jamie Oates and John Oates; and her great grandchildren, Henry, Charlie Oates, Enoch, Quentin and Fred Harper.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be made to the Due West ARP Church, PO Box 397, Due West, SC 29639 or Bonclarken Conference Center, 305 Pine Drive, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
