He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas McClinton and Annie Mary McClinton; his son Thomas McClinton, III; his brother Eddie McClinton, Sr.; and his grandmother Floree Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Emma McClinton; his daughters, Antoinette Smith (Derick) of Atlanta, Georgia and Aprielle DeVoe (Arndre) of Greenville; his stepchildren, Keisha Carter of Greenville and Andrew Carter (Sandra) of Anderson; his siblings, Evelyn Price of Tampa, Florida and Deacon William McClinton of Due West; his grandchildren, Khari McClinton (Kimberly) of Atlanta, Georgia, Kamyah McClinton of Atlanta, Georgia, Andre, Dylan and Iyanla DeVoe of Greenville; and his great grandchild Kaiden McClinton of Atlanta, Georgia. He is also survived by one aunt, two nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law along with a host of cousins and friends.
