It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edith Brawley of Due West, South Carolina, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on February 4, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. John G. Brawley, Jr.; and her parents, Francis Marion Mitchell, Jr. and Elizabeth Hay Mitchell. She is survived by: her children, John Gray Brawley, III (Colleen) of Davis, CA and Harriet Morton (Kevin) of Brevard, NC; her siblings, Marion Mitchell (Stokie) of Wadmalaw Island, SC, Lewis Mitchell (Marilyn) of Wilmington, DE and Elizabeth Neil of Atlanta, GA; and her grandchildren, Amarinthia Morton, Nellie Morton, Sean Brawley, Owen Brawley and Emma Brawley.
