Virginia Owens Dean Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Owens Dean of Drayton, South Carolina, who passed away on September 15, 2020, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wallace G. Dean; her son Donald A. Dean; and her siblings, Mae Graham, Lealo Rogers, Estelle Collier, Virgie Caldwell, Purcell Owens, Tommy Owens and Dewitt Owens.
She is survived by: her sons, Glen Dean (Natalie) and Bob Dean (Pam); her grandchildren, Jonathan Dean and Elizabeth Dean; her sister Dorothy Buchanan; her nieces and nephews, Kay Hammond, Joan Koone, Joey Buchanan and Lee Buchanan; and her pet Charlie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wallace G. Dean 1950 Memorial Athletic Endowed Scholarship Fund, Wofford College, 427 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
