She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Mings and Rose Lee Smith; her spouse Willam Dawkins; her siblings, Thomas Mings, Sr., John Wesley Smith, Minnie Mings and Rachael M. Vance; and her granddaughters, Pam Pryor and Miranda M. Aull. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; sixteen great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
