She was predeceased by: her husband John William Clayton; and her parents, Hubert Riser and Julia West Riser of Bowman. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Byron (Butch), Donny Clayton (Tonya) and Tommy Clayton (Jean); her grandchildren, Martin Clayton (Laura), Chris Clayton (Courtney), Bridgette Clayton (Michael), Cadra Hartzog (Earl), Nikki Tench (Scott), Brittany Wamer (Thomas) and Joseph Byron; her great grandchildren, Garrett, Olivia, Boone, Banks, Courtlynn, Ethan, Emerson, Gatsby, Bryant and Elli Reese; and her sister Elsie Folk. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bryant Funeral Home (607 N Parler Ave, St George, SC 29477). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Zion Methodist Church (1194 Zion Rd, Dorchester, SC 29437).
