He was predeceased by: his parents, John Oliver Pruitt and Claudia Elizabeth Harper Pruitt; and his siblings, David Pruitt, Alfred Pruitt, JP Pruitt, Larry Pruitt, Florie McFarland and Judy Pinkney.
He is survived by: his wife Ola Mae Kelley Pruitt; his daughters, Nedra Pruitt Brown of Anderson, S. C. and Tara Pruitt of Columbia, S. C; his sisters, Johnnie Rothery of Donalds, S. C., Elsie Pruitt of Clayton, N. C. and Claudette Grier of Donalds, S. C.; and his grandchildren, Sydney Autumn Brown, Marvin James Cofield II, Samaya Summer Brown and Adrianna Taymar Cofield. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
