With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sam Cothran of Donalds, South Carolina, who passed away on December 30, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Haskell Andrew and Pauline Isabel Gambrell Cothran; and his siblings, Haskell Andrew Cothran, Jr., Robert Austin Cothran, Henry Tillman Cothran and Annie Sue Cothran Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Jean Arrowood Cothran; his children, Tammy Kaye Cothran Bowling (James) of Belton, Paula Lynn Cothran LeCroy (Scott) of Donalds, James Michael Coleman of Easley and Tony L. Coleman (Beverly) of Liberty; and his siblings, Mary Jean Cothran Coker (Joe) of Raleigh, NC, Joe Earl Cothran (Brenda) of Belton, Linda Faye Cothran Bridges (Ray) of Honea Path, Donald Neal Cothran (Patsy) of Fountain Inn and Richard Steven Cothran (Denise) of Piedmont. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19, it is suggested that masks be worn, and social distancing observed.
