He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Lamar and Fannie Belle Dodson Dunlap; and his siblings, Lamar, David Dunlap, Frances May, Hilda McGee and Ruth Hancock.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Devore Dunlap of Donalds; his son Steve Dunlap (Crystal) of Donalds; and his grandchildren, Kylie Hamrick (Jonathon) and Drake Dunlap. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
