He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeff Johnson and Lonnie Vaughn Johnson; and his siblings, James Johnson, Annie Ruth Mitchell, Frances Barrett, Emma Jane Prince and Martha Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Gillespie Johnson; his sons, Jerry Lee Johnson (Kelly) of Anderson and Terry Lee Johnson of Arden, NC; his sister Ella Mae Gambrell of Honea Path; and his grandchildren, Kayla Burbury, Jurnee Collins, Jeffery Johnson and Jacob Johnson.
