He was predeceased by: his parents, James Curtis Herring and Annie Belle Smith Herring; and his siblings, Frances Caulder, DJ Herring, Clyde Herring and Franklin Herring.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Carter (Walter) and Sheila Guzman (Amadeo) of Mullins; his grandchildren, Brandon Herring, Curtis Guzman, Juana Pacneco, Alexia Guzman and Zackary Guzman; his sister Shirley Atkinson of Mullins; and his caregivers, Morgan, Tatrice, Jennifer, Tammy and William.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 6th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home (209 Black Branch Rd, Dillon, SC 29536). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Cooper Funeral Home Chapel (209 Black Branch Rd, Dillon, SC 29536).
