She was predeceased by: her parents, George Fritz Young and Mary Jane Hughes Young; her sons, Jody Lester Simpson and Charles Richard "Ricky" Simpson; her grandson Chad Simpson; and her brother Beauford Young.
She is survived by: her son Jeffrey Simpson (Betty Jo) of Dillon; her sister Mercidees Carnes (Henry "Butch") of Poulsbo, WA; her grandchildren, Cody Simpson, Amber Inman, Brittney Thompson, Wesley Lattymer and Ronda Caulder; and her daughter-in-law Pamela Simpson. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel (1252 SC-57, Dillon, SC 29536).
